That roar was a foreboding one; Hideo didn't immediately recognize what Pokemon it was from, but it sounded big and scary. And his Orbeetle was quick to confirm that yes, the source was a big and scary Pokemon.

And it had its eyes on the two fuzzballs running around.

"Guys, look out!" Hideo shouted, just as the Ursaluna charged at them. One of the Swinubs was quick to react, its body glowing bright as it fired off an Ancient Power at the Ursaluna. It didn't do much damage, but it did distract the beast.

A distraction long enough for the other Swinub to Dig under the ground, emerging beneath the Ursaluna. It was enough to draw the Ursaluna's attention from the other Swinub, who then readied another Ancient Power.

Hideo's Orbeetle assured him they had the situation under control.

Skipping

The duo's tactics didn't knock out the Ursaluna, but they did frustrate it enough to make it leave, so a win was a win.

But a moment later, Hideo could hear something Growling at them. He really wished they hadn't run so far ahead of him.

His Swinubs were already on the attack, one Digging as the other pelted the source with Ancient Power.

The one consolation was that his Orbeetle assured him that the Pokemon they were attacking was a lot less threatening than the Ursaluna, so Hideo didn't need to rush over to them.

Though even at his current pace, he had to be careful not to slip on the ice.

Skipping

That one, the two Swinubs actually managed to knock out, the Numel unable to handle the tag-team tactics they used.

Hideo soon felt the pair brush up against him, trying to push him towards their fallen foe. "Just a minute, guys," Hideo said, trying to get out a Pokeball. But it wasn't easy to keep his balance, walk, look through his pocket, and get pushed by a pair of Swinubs all at the same time.

Something was gonna give. Just one slip, and Hideo fell back-first.

It was fortunate that the Swinubs were behind him, for they were able to break his fall, one cushioning his head while the other cushioned his back. They both squeaked as he made impact, but nobody was hurt.

His Orbeetle was not happy, though, launching into a tirade about how those two had been too careless. One that Hideo had no way to understand.

They all completely missed the Arctovish that took one look at what was going on - and had judged it was better off not being around this.

Skipping

Heavy steps drew his Swinubs' attention away, the two chunky blobs off to harass another Pokemon.

But this one seemed to garner some extra buzz - literally, from his Orbeetle. Little guy seemed just as interested in the Pokemon as his other little guys.

Though the Pokemon they were bothering seemed less than enthused by all the attention. Its attempt to Rollout over the Swinubs didn't go over so well, and now it was slipping and sliding over the ice like Hideo had been moments ago.

And that left it very open to attack from all three of Hideo's Pokemon.

The boy waited until the battling died down before readying a Pokeball. He'd have to find out what it was after he caught it.

Maybe if it was a ground-type or a rock-type, he'd name it Terra. Or maybe Clay would be better.

He'd probably settle on something by the time he got back to his camp.
